Timeline

 (Gabrielle)

ALL RIGHT, so if you are here right now for this article precisely, you are either very lost among the incredible amount of significant events related to the novel OR you are a history fan, which I highly doubt but if it is the case, do not worry, I am not here to judge you. On the contrary, I think the following timeline will probably be very useful to you. As you have probably noticed in the other posts, there is often talk of immersing yourself in the universe of the novel and connecting with the emotions of the characters. This is all well and good, but first, you have to not get lost in the flow of events. Thus, we have specially designed the following timeline by associating each of the events with an image because we believe that this will help you to make a mark of it and therefore to remind you of it during your reading. Most of the events that have a significant influence on the socio-economic and cultural context of Duddy's time are found here, and it should help you understand many of the novel's more understated technical details.

Read the following timeline and tell us in the comments about the event that shocked you the most!
