Business Growth: Second Quarter

(Milie)

After his date with Yvette at the lake, Duddy was convinced that he found his land. It was important to him to have one, and when he saw it, he immediately wanted to take the opportunity. He planned to buy the lake. He came back home; he had changed a lot physically. But he was sick, so he decides to sleep a little after chatted with his father for a bit. But as soon he was alone, he began to cry for no apparent reason. He was tired. He then began to work a lot. He drove a taxi at night when his father was sleeping and the day, he had a job where he was selling liquid soap and toilet supplies to factories. He wanted to make the most money possible. Lennie (Duddy’s brother) did come home totally drunk. He didn’t seem to feel right but didn’t tell much about what was going on. He was a little bit worried about his brother. After all, Duddy wanted to reach his professional goal, saving all the money for his precious land. He met Peter John Friar, a director of the documentary film. But he soon revealed to be a weird, alcoholic, blacklisted rest of a filmmaker. But despite that, they start a film company together. He needed more money for buying his land so he did all he can to make his company work. After begging his father for meeting the mysterious Wonder Boy (Jerry Dingleman), he finally agreed that he could meet him. They then met and he was brought to New York with this man for talking about his idea. But nothing went well during the trip. Mr. Dingleman acted weird and had shown no interest at all. They didn’t even talk about Duddy’s idea and they came back sooner than planned. Seem like he only used him to bring back a strange suitcase, nothing else. Back from it, he finally realizes his first movie. Always thinking about his future land, he didn’t sleep much. After filming, Mr. Friar didn’t want to show the rushes to him. He worked in secret on the cutting and editing. So obviously Duddy was stressed waiting to see the finished product. They then present the movie in front of a lot of people. It was finally a total success.

Tired: Didn’t sleep that much, was sick, needed rest.

Stressed: about the money, the movie, his land.

Determined: wanted to reach his goal, ready for everything.
